Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 January 2026
Last updated: 1 January 2026

Diamond Interchem Co., Ltd. (“Diamond Interchem”, “DIC”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

This Policy is issued in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) of Thailand (“PDPA”). Where we serve customers or receive enquiries from outside Thailand, we apply the same standards.

2. Scope of this Policy

This Policy applies to personal data we process when you:

  • visit or use our website;
  • submit an enquiry, sample request, or download request through a form on our website;
  • interact with a social media page that Diamond Interchem owns and operates — currently our LinkedIn Company Page and our Facebook Page;
  • correspond with us by email, telephone, or messaging application;
  • act as a contact person for a customer, supplier, distributor, or business partner; or
  • apply for a position with us.

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or platforms we link to. Those services operate under their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to read them.

3. Personal data we collect

3.1 Information you give us directly

When you complete an enquiry, sample request, consultation request, or gated-guide download form on our website, we collect:

  • your name;
  • your work email address;
  • your company name;
  • your industry segment (self-selected from a list);
  • your telephone number, where the form requests it;
  • the enquiry type you select; and
  • any information you choose to include in the free-text message field.

We ask only for information we need in order to respond to you. Please do not include sensitive personal data (such as health information, religious or political beliefs, or identification-card numbers) in free-text fields; we do not require it and do not want to receive it.

3.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit our website we collect:

  • your IP address and general location derived from it (city or region level);
  • your browser type, device type, and operating system;
  • the pages you view, the time and duration of your visit, and the links you click;
  • the website or campaign that referred you to us, including campaign tracking parameters in the link you followed (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content); and
  • server log data generated by our hosting provider.

Campaign tracking parameters tell us which article, post, or campaign brought you to our site. They identify the content, not you personally, but they may be stored alongside an enquiry you submit so that we understand which topics our audience finds useful.

3.3 Social media pages and interactions

Diamond Interchem operates a LinkedIn Company Page and a Facebook Page. When you comment on, react to, share, or send a message to one of our posts or pages, we may see and process:

  • your public profile name and, where the platform provides it, your public profile image and headline;
  • the content of your comment or message;
  • the date and time of your interaction and a link to it; and
  • aggregate, non-identifying statistics about how our posts perform (impressions, clicks, reactions, comment counts, follower counts and growth).

We use software tools to help us monitor these pages so that we can reply to questions and enquiries promptly. We want to be explicit about the limits we place on this:

  • We only access data from pages and accounts that Diamond Interchem owns and administers. We do not collect data from any other page, profile, or account.
  • We do not use personal data obtained through social media platform interfaces for advertising or advertising targeting, and we run no paid advertising on these platforms.
  • We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise disclose this data to any third party, and we do not combine it with data from external sources or data brokers.
  • We do not build marketing profiles, scores, or prospect lists from the people who interact with our pages, and we do not add them to any mailing list.
  • We use the content of comments and messages solely to reply to you, to route your question to the right colleague, and to understand in aggregate which topics interest our audience.
  • If you make a business enquiry through a comment or message, a member of our team may reply personally and invite you to contact us through our website form or by email. A record in our customer relationship system is created only if you then choose to contact us directly — that is, from information you give us yourself, not from data obtained through the platform.
  • Automated replies are used only for general, non-commercial questions and are reviewed by a member of our team. We never send an automated reply to a business enquiry, a complaint, or a critical comment; a person handles those.

Your interaction with our pages is also governed by the privacy policy of the platform itself (LinkedIn or Meta), which acts as a data controller in its own right for the data it holds about you. Your use of those platforms, and the settings that control what is publicly visible on your profile, are matters between you and the platform.

3.4 Business contact data

In the course of trading we process the business contact details of individuals who act on behalf of our customers, suppliers, manufacturers, freight forwarders, and regulatory or certification bodies — typically name, job title, work email address, work telephone number, and employer. We generally receive this data from the individual or from their employer.

3.5 Recruitment

If you apply for a position with us, we process the personal data contained in your application, curriculum vitae, and any supporting documents you send, together with our notes from any interview. We use it only to assess your application and to communicate with you about it.

4. Why we use your personal data, and our legal basis

Under the PDPA we must have a lawful basis for each purpose. Ours are as follows.

Purpose Personal data used Legal basis (PDPA)
Responding to your enquiry, sample request, or consultation request Contact and enquiry data (3.1) Necessary for steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract; and our legitimate interest in conducting our business
Delivering a guide, specification sheet, or other document you requested Contact data (3.1) Your consent, given when you submit the download form
Supplying products and services, and managing the commercial relationship Business contact data (3.4) Performance of a contract; legitimate interest in managing supplier and customer relationships
Replying to comments and messages on our own social media pages Social interaction data (3.3) Legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us publicly
Understanding which content our audience finds useful, in aggregate Website analytics (3.2); aggregate page and post statistics (3.3) Legitimate interest in improving our website and published content
Operating, securing, and troubleshooting our website Automatically collected data (3.2) Legitimate interest in the security and availability of our systems
Assessing job applications Recruitment data (3.5) Steps taken at your request prior to entering an employment contract
Meeting legal, tax, accounting, customs, and regulatory obligations As required by the obligation Compliance with a legal obligation

Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time (see section 9). Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it. Where we rely on legitimate interest, we have considered whether that interest is overridden by your rights and freedoms, and you may object to the processing at any time.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and measure how the site is used.

  • Strictly necessary cookies enable core functionality such as page navigation, form submission, and security. The site cannot function properly without them.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our site — which pages are read, how long visits last, and where visitors arrive from. We use Google Analytics for this purpose and review the results in aggregate to improve our content.
  • Functional cookies remember choices you make, such as language preference.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site may not work.

We do not use cookies for advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking, and we do not host advertising-network or social-media tracking pixels on this website. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.

6. Who we share your personal data with

We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent, trade, or license it, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We share personal data only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers who process data on our behalf. These act on our documented instructions, are bound by confidentiality, and may not use the data for their own purposes. They include our website hosting provider, our email provider, our website form software, Google (for Google Analytics and for business email and document storage), our workflow-automation platform, and the language-processing service we use to help sort and draft replies to enquiries.
  • Within our group and with authorised distribution partners, where necessary to fulfil your enquiry or an order — for example, where a product is supplied through a regional partner.
  • Professional advisers such as auditors, accountants, insurers, and lawyers, where necessary and under a duty of confidentiality.
  • Public authorities and regulators, where we are required to disclose by law, court order, or a lawful request, or where disclosure is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
  • A purchaser or successor, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or reorganisation of our business, subject to this Policy continuing to apply.

7. International transfers

Some of the service providers described in section 6 are located outside Thailand, including in Singapore, the European Union, and the United States. Where we transfer personal data outside Thailand, we do so only where the destination country provides an adequate level of protection, or where appropriate safeguards are in place — typically contractual commitments requiring the recipient to protect the data to a standard consistent with the PDPA — or where a lawful exception under the PDPA applies.

8. How long we keep your personal data

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it for, and then delete it or anonymise it.

Data Retention period
Website enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship 24 months from your last contact with us
Customer and supplier records For the duration of the relationship, then as required by Thai accounting and tax law (currently up to 10 years)
Comments and messages on our social media pages Held on the platform under the platform’s own retention rules. Copies we hold in our own systems for response handling are deleted within 90 days
Aggregate page and post statistics Retained in aggregate, non-identifying form only
Website analytics and server logs Up to 26 months
Unsuccessful job applications 12 months after the recruitment process closes, unless you ask us to keep your details on file

9. Your rights

Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the PDPA, you have the right to:

  • be informed about how we process your personal data — which is the purpose of this Policy;
  • access your personal data and request a copy of it;
  • rectify personal data that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, or misleading;
  • erase or anonymise your personal data where it is no longer necessary, where you withdraw consent and there is no other lawful basis, or where the processing is unlawful;
  • restrict our use of your personal data in certain circumstances;
  • object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest, and to processing for direct marketing;
  • data portability — to receive personal data you provided to us in a commonly used machine-readable format, and to have it transmitted to another controller where technically feasible;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where our processing is based on consent; and
  • lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (see section 12).

How to exercise your rights. Email privacy@diamondinterchem.com with the words “Privacy request” in the subject line, telling us which right you wish to exercise. We may ask you for information to verify your identity before we act, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else. We will respond within 30 days of receiving a valid request. If your request is complex, or if you have made several requests, we may extend this period and will tell you if we do. Exercising these rights is free of charge; we may charge a reasonable fee only if a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

If you interacted with us on LinkedIn or Facebook and want the copy of that interaction held in our systems deleted, contact us at the address above and we will delete it. Deleting your own comment or message on the platform itself is done through the platform.

10. How we protect your personal data

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, and unauthorised access. These include encryption of data in transit, access controls limiting personal data to staff who need it for their role, authentication requirements on the systems we use, and contractual confidentiality obligations on our staff and service providers.

No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee within 72 hours of becoming aware of it where required, and will notify you without undue delay where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to you.

11. Children

Our website and our products are directed at businesses and industrial customers, not at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 20 without the consent of a parent or guardian, as required under the PDPA. If you believe we hold such data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, please contact us first at privacy@diamondinterchem.com — we would like the chance to resolve it.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our systems, or the law. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above. Where the change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
